First Week
Four short tasks worth doing in your first week so ClickFortify protection actually starts working for you.
After the onboarding wizard you land on the dashboard. Four short tasks turn ClickFortify from "set up" to "actively protecting" — most teams finish them in their first week.
What to do, in order
1. Set up conversion tracking
Tell ClickFortify which on-site events count as conversions so reports tie clicks to outcomes — and so audience-based exclusion knows which users to keep.
2. Launch protection
Turn protection on. Recommended sensitivity + Warn action mode is the safe week-one combo — strong enough to catch fraud, gentle enough to watch how the system behaves before it starts blocking.
3. Verify your Google Ads connection
A 60-second check that the right ad account is linked, the connection hasn't expired, and data is flowing through cleanly.
4. Troubleshoot Google Ads if needed
The most common Google-Ads-side problems and how to fix them — re-authorize, missing accounts, suspended accounts, sync errors.
How long it takes
Each task is 5-15 minutes. The whole list takes under an hour spread across whenever you have time during the week.
What if you skipped something during onboarding
If you used Do this later to skip the tracking install in step 5, that comes first — finish Install tracking before any of the tasks here. Protection signals are limited until tracking is installed.
