Verification

Confirm the correct Google Ads account is linked and that ClickFortify is ready to track and protect it.

Use this page right after connecting Google Ads to verify the account handoff is clean.

Google Ads account check

What You Should Confirm First

Make sure these three things line up:

  • the Google Ads account you intended to connect
  • the account shown in Google Ads
  • the account that appears inside ClickFortify

If those do not match, fix the connection before moving deeper into onboarding.

Account Identity Check

In Google Ads, confirm the account name and customer ID match the ad account you selected in ClickFortify.

This matters most when:

  • you manage multiple client accounts
  • you work from an MCC
  • more than one teammate can authorize Google Ads connections

ClickFortify Presence Check

After the connection step finishes, the ad account should appear in ClickFortify without asking you to reconnect the authorization.

Healthy signs:

  • the account is listed in ClickFortify
  • the account can be opened in account settings
  • ClickFortify does not immediately prompt for a new Google Ads authorization

Tracking Readiness Check

If you left Set tracking template enabled, confirm the account is ready for ClickFortify's recommended click-tracking path.

What to verify:

  • the account can be synchronized from ClickFortify
  • ClickFortify does not report missing access for Google Ads changes
  • tracking settings can later be applied or reviewed from Google Ads account settings

If automated setup does not stick, you can still finish onboarding and use the manual tracking path later.

Audience Protection Readiness Check

If you left Set custom audience enabled, confirm the account is suitable for audience-based protection workflows.

What to verify:

  • the connected authorization still has access to the ad account
  • the account supports the audience features you plan to use
  • ClickFortify can keep the account connected after sync

MCC Review Check

If you connected through a manager account, verify that you selected the correct child account rather than the MCC shell.

A clean MCC handoff means:

  • the child account customer ID matches your intended production account
  • campaigns in Google Ads belong to the selected child account
  • ClickFortify is monitoring the ad account that actually spends budget

Before You Continue

Move on only when all of these are true:

  • the correct account is connected
  • the account is visible in ClickFortify
  • tracking setup is ready for the path you chose
  • the account is the real spend-driving account, not the wrong child or manager shell
