Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to resolve them.
Solutions to common issues.
No Clicks Appearing
Check tracking script
Verify the script is on your pages:
- Open browser DevTools (F12)
- Go to Network tab
- Filter for "clickfortify"
- You should see the script loading
Verify site ID
Make sure your data-site attribute matches your ClickFortify dashboard.
Check for ad blockers
Some ad blockers may block tracking scripts in development environments.
High False Positive Rate
Lower sensitivity
If too many legitimate clicks are flagged:
- Go to Protection Settings
- Change sensitivity to "Balanced" or "Low"
- Monitor for a few days
Review exclusions
Check recently excluded sources and remove false positives.
Google Ads Not Syncing
There are two types of sync in ClickFortify — connection sync and account sync — and the fix depends on which one is broken.
Quick steps:
- Check connection status in Space Settings → Connections — if it shows UNLINKED, you need to reauthorize (sync alone won't fix this)
- If status is OK, trigger a connection sync, then an account sync from Ads Manager → Refresh
- If campaigns still don't appear or tracking shows errors, see the full guide below

Tracking Template Not Applied or Showing a Warning
A yellow warning in your ad account settings means ClickFortify's tracking template is missing or being overridden — usually by a campaign or ad group that has its own template set.
Quick steps:
- Go to Space Settings → PPC Accounts and open the account settings
- Confirm tracking mode is set to Tracking Template (Recommended) — if not, change it, Save, then Synchronize
- If the warning persists — a campaign-level override may be blocking the account-level template

Dashboard Loading Slowly
Try a shorter date range
Large date ranges can slow queries.
Clear browser cache
Sometimes cached data causes issues.
