A symptom-based directory of fixes — start here when something looks wrong, and the right detailed guide is one link away.

When something's not working, find your symptom below and follow the link. Each entry has a short quick-fix and a deep-dive link if the quick fix doesn't resolve it.

Tracking install

No clicks appearing on the dashboard

Quick check:

Open your live site in a new tab and refresh a page.
Right-click → View page source and search for tracker.clickfortify.com. If it's not in the source, the snippet wasn't deployed.
If it's there, an ad blocker may be eating it — test in incognito with extensions off.

"Waiting for events…" never turns green during the wizard

The wizard polls every 3 seconds for a real pageview. You have to actually load a page on your live site after install. If it stays waiting after that, see the full guide.

Protection

Too many real clicks are getting flagged

If you're on Automatic mode, drop sensitivity by one level. Watch a week.

If that's not enough, switch to Manual mode and turn off the specific check that's misfiring. The Click Traffic view shows which signal flagged each click.

Fraud is still getting through

If you're on Automatic mode, raise sensitivity by one level. Watch a week.

If specific patterns keep slipping through, write a custom automation rule that targets them.

Action mode is on Warn but exclusions aren't reaching Google Ads

Open Exclusions. If the Message column shows Failed rows, the connection has a problem. See Troubleshoot Google Ads.

My ad account isn't appearing in the dropdown

Usually means the Google login you used doesn't have admin access on the account. Have an admin grant access, then re-authorize from Space Settings → PPC Accounts → Add account. Full triage: Troubleshoot Google Ads.

Connection shows UNLINKED status

The OAuth token expired or access was revoked. Sync alone won't fix it — you need to re-authorize.

Space Settings → PPC Accounts → find the account.
Click Configure → look for the re-authorize action.
Complete the Google sign-in popup.

"Sync required" badge on a connected account

ClickFortify couldn't write its tracking template into Google Ads during onboarding. Click the badge or Configure to finish. If a campaign-level override is blocking it, see Fixing a tracking template override.

New campaigns in Google Ads aren't showing in Ads Manager

Click Refresh in Ads Manager. If it doesn't pull them in, the connection may be stale — sync it from Space Settings → PPC Accounts → Configure → Synchronize. Full guide: Syncing your ad account.

Dashboard

Dashboard is loading slowly

Most often: you're looking at a very wide date range. Narrow it to the last 7 or 30 days.

Secondary causes: stale cached data (hard-refresh with Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R), or the browser tab has been open for a long time (close and reopen).

Charts show no data even though I have traffic

Either tracking isn't installed/firing (see Tracking install above), or your date range is set to a period before tracking was active. Check both.

Billing

My trial ended unexpectedly

7-day trial starts the moment you click Start free trial in the wizard. If yours ended sooner than 7 days, check Space Settings → Billing for the activation date.

I was charged but don't see my plan as Active

Allow a few minutes for the payment to clear. If status doesn't update within 10 minutes, contact support from the dashboard Help menu.

If none of the above fits your situation, contact support from the Help menu in the dashboard. Include your space ID, a screenshot of the issue, and any error message text — those three things resolve most tickets quickly.
