Blocklist
Manually block IP addresses, IP ranges, and placements from seeing your ads.
The Blocklist is your manual control layer. Add IP addresses, CIDR ranges, or app/domain placements that you know are problematic — ClickFortify will ensure they never see your ads.

Summary Metrics
Four cards summarize your current blocklist:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Entries | All active blocklist items |
| IP Addresses | Individual IPs blocked |
| IP Ranges | CIDR ranges blocked (e.g., 203.0.113.0/24) |
| App/Domain Placements | Websites or mobile apps blocked |
Blocklist Table

Blocklist vs. Excluded Clicks
| Feature | Blocklist | Excluded Clicks |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Manual — you add entries | Automatic — ClickFortify detects and adds |
| Control | Full user control | AI-managed |
| Purpose | Known bad actors you've identified | Detected fraud patterns |
| Persistence | Permanent until you remove | May expire or rotate |
Use the Blocklist for sources you know are problematic. Let ClickFortify handle automatic detection via Excluded Clicks. The two systems work together.
When to Use the Blocklist
Competitor IPs — Block known competitor office IPs to prevent wasted spend from competitor click fraud.
Internal traffic — Block your own company's IP addresses so internal browsing doesn't inflate click counts or waste budget.
Known fraud sources — If your analytics reveal a persistent bad actor, add them here for permanent blocking.
Problematic placements — Block websites or apps where your ads consistently attract low-quality traffic.
Negative keywords — Block specific search terms at the account or campaign level to prevent irrelevant traffic.
Removing Entries
Find the entry in the table and click the delete/remove icon. Confirm the removal. Removal is a soft delete — the block is marked as Inactive.
Once removed, the IP or placement can see your ads again immediately. Make sure the removal is intentional.
Best Practices
- Always add notes — Document why you blocked something
- Review periodically — Old entries may no longer be relevant
- Use ranges carefully — Blocking large IP ranges can affect legitimate users on shared networks
- Coordinate with your team — Make sure others know about manual blocks
- Check Excluded Clicks first — ClickFortify may have already blocked it automatically
