Excluded Clicks
View all IP addresses and entities automatically excluded from your campaigns by ClickFortify.
Excluded Clicks shows every IP address and entity that ClickFortify has automatically excluded from your campaigns based on fraud detection. These exclusions sync directly to your Google Ads account.

Summary Metrics
Four cards at the top show your exclusion breakdown:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Exclusions | All active exclusions in your account |
| IP Addresses | Individual IP addresses excluded |
| IP Ranges | CIDR ranges excluded |
| Audience Exclusions | Custom audience segments excluded |
How Exclusions Work
- Detection — ClickFortify's AI identifies fraudulent or suspicious click patterns
- Exclusion Created — An entry is added to this list
- Sync to Google Ads — The exclusion is pushed to your ad account via the Google Ads API
- Blocking Active — Google Ads prevents future impressions to that entity
Exclusions Table
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Excluded | Date and time the exclusion was created |
| Ad Account | Which Google Ads account this applies to |
| Status | Bad (red) = confirmed fraud; Suspicious (yellow) = unusual behavior |
| Type | IP Address, IP Range, or Audience |
| Entity | The specific IP or entity being excluded |
| Target | Campaign (green) = specific campaign; Account (blue) = entire account |
| Click ID | The gclid that triggered this exclusion (N/A if not applicable) |
| Message | Sync result: Success (green), Failed (red), or Pending (yellow) |
| Expires | When the exclusion automatically lifts |
| Removed | Date manually removed, or N/A if still active |
Understanding Failed Syncs
If an exclusion shows Failed in the Message column:
- Your Google Ads API exclusion limits may be reached
- There may be a temporary connection issue
- API permissions may need updating
Failed exclusions are not protecting your ads. If you see multiple failures, check your Google Ads connection in Space Settings immediately.
Google Ads Exclusion Limits
Google Ads has caps on the number of exclusions:
| Type | Limit |
|---|---|
| IP Exclusions per Campaign | 500 |
| IP Exclusions per Account | 500 |
| Placement Exclusions | 10,000 |
ClickFortify manages these limits automatically by prioritizing highest-threat IPs, removing expired exclusions, and rotating when limits are reached.
Excluded Clicks vs. Blocklist
| Feature | Excluded Clicks | Blocklist |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Automatic AI detection | Manual user entry |
| Management | System-controlled | User-controlled |
| Expiration | Can expire automatically | Permanent until removed |
Date Range Filter
Use the date range picker (top-right) to filter exclusions by when they were created.
Best Practices
- Monitor sync status — Investigate any Failed messages promptly
- Review regularly — Understand what's being excluded from your campaigns
- Look for patterns — Repeated IP ranges or data centers may warrant manual Blocklist entries
- Check expirations — Some exclusions expire; if fraud returns after expiry, add to the Blocklist
