Website Settings

Add, configure, and manage websites protected by ClickFortify.

Website Settings is where you add and manage the websites you want to protect. Each website has its own configuration, tracking script, and protection scope.

Website Settings

What Is a Website?

In ClickFortify, a website is a domain whose ad traffic you want to monitor and protect. You can add multiple websites under one workspace (Space), each with independent settings.

Adding a Website

  1. Click Add Website (top-right)
  2. Enter your website's domain (e.g., example.com)
  3. Give it a display name for easy identification
  4. Save — ClickFortify will generate a unique tracking script for this website

After adding a website, you need to install the tracking script on your site for protection to activate.

Website List

Each website in your account is shown with:

ColumnDescription
NameDisplay name you gave the website
DomainThe website's domain (e.g., example.com)
StatusActive, Inactive, or Pending (tracking not yet detected)
TrackingWhether the tracking script has been detected on your site
ProtectionWhether click fraud protection is active
CreatedWhen the website was added

Website Status

StatusDescription
ActiveTracking detected and protection is running
PendingWebsite added but tracking script not yet detected
InactiveManually disabled or tracking script removed

A website shows Pending until ClickFortify detects at least one visit through your tracking script. After installing the script, visit your website to trigger detection.

Editing a Website

Click on any website to:

  • Update the display name
  • Change protection settings specific to this website
  • View the tracking script for this website
  • Enable or disable protection

Deleting a Website

Deleting a website removes all tracking data, exclusions, and history associated with it.

Website deletion is permanent. All click data, exclusions, and analytics for this website will be lost. Consider disabling it instead if you might need the data later.

Multiple Websites

If you manage multiple websites:

  • Switch between them using the website selector in the top navigation bar
  • Each website has independent tracking scripts
  • Protection settings can differ per website
  • All websites share the same team members and billing

Best Practices

  1. Use clear names — "Main Site", "Ecommerce Store" — not just the domain
  2. Verify tracking — Always confirm the script is detected before relying on protection
  3. One website per domain — Don't add subdomains as separate websites unless you need separate analytics
  4. Review regularly — Remove websites you no longer advertise for
