Do this later

Skip the tracking install for now — what you lose, how to come back, and what we'll remind you about.

You can finish the wizard without installing tracking and come back to it later. Step 5's Do this later button starts the skip flow.

Why you might skip

  • You don't have access to your site or your GTM container right now.
  • You want to look at the dashboard before doing the install work.
  • A developer needs to do the install and they're not available today.

What protection is limited to without the pixel

Without the tracking pixel, ClickFortify can't see anything that happens on your site — only what it can pull from your Google Ads account. That means most protection signals are off until you install.

Specifically, with no pixel:

  • Works: ad-spend reporting, campaign-level metrics from Google Ads, exclusions you add manually.
  • Doesn't work: bot fingerprinting (browser-side), behavioral signals (mouse, scroll, dwell), conversion tracking, click-to-visitor matching, audience-based exclusions.

The skip dialog says this plainly: "Tracking script is required for ClickFortify to fully monitor, protect, and analyze your traffic. Without installation, some features may not work correctly."

How to install later

From the dashboard, open the Tracking Setup page (from the sidebar or from the banner at the top of the dashboard) and follow the same flow as step 5 — manual snippet or GTM, with the same auto-detection. Once detection succeeds, full protection turns on automatically.

How we'll remind you

There are no reminder emails. The dashboard shows a persistent banner prompting you to finish the tracking install until you do — it's the only nudge.
